Logan was 4 months yesterday!!! He now weighs 14 lbs 12 oz and is 25 inches long!! He is such a happy baby! He laughs if you tickle him and smiles so big if you just look at him! He is very cautious of other people though. If he doesn't know the person and they get up in his face he starts crying! But if you know him he loves you!!! He can now roll over from his stomach to his back which makes it very difficult to do tummy time but is so adorable!! We love him soooo much!!!!!

Okay so Logan is here and now 2 months old!!! It has been way too long since I blogged! Here is the story of his birth!
On Thursday December 3rd I went to my doctors appt and she stripped my membranes. I came home and had a normal day and even colored a friends hair. About an hour and a half after she left, around 10:30pm I started having cramping but I didn't think anything of it! Bryan and I went to bed but the cramping was starting to get more intense and evenly spaced out. That's when I realized I might be in labor. I let Bryan sleep for about an hour and a half while I timed the contractions. I woke him up around 12:30 and told him that it was time to go! I did my hair and my makeup, which didn't last at all once I started pushing, and off we went! We arrived at the hospital around 1:30am. They checked me out and I was in between a 2 and a 3 so they weren't sure if they were going to admit me! They had me walk the halls for an hour to see if I was going to make any progress. When I came back they checked me again and luckily I progressed so they admitted me! I got the epidural right away! I seriously love that thing!!! I called my sister and my mom and dad to let them know that I was in labor around 7:00. They came to the hospital right away! Bryan called all his side of the family to let them know! Every body was so excited! The rest of the day my family hung out with me and Bryan and we just relaxed! Later on that evening we got a couple little scares. I had developed a fever which made the doctors nervous for infection. And Logan was transversed. His head was sideways and if he didn't rotate we were warned that I might need a c-section and opening me up if there was an infection would make it a little more high risk. But luckily about 15 - 20 minutes after finding out that Logan was turned the doctor checked again and he had rotated!! At about 9:30pm it was finally time to push! I had Bryan and my sister by my side! Bryan was holding my leg while Tiffany was taking pictures! There were so many nurses in the room to take Logan to the NICU as soon as he was born due to the infection. They weren't sure if he had it or not but they had to be cautious! That room was full! I don't know how any one moved around in there! An hour into pushing about 10:30 pm my lovely epidural that I had loved so much left me!! I then started feeling everything!! As the night progressed I was getting really tired and oxygen levels started to drop. The doctor tried using the vaccum to help Logan come out but no such luck. Finally he gave me an episiotomy and Logan was born at 11:44pm December 4, 2009! He weighed 7 lbs even and was 20.5 inches long!! He went straight into the NICU where he was given an IV of antibiotics. We were so disappointed that all of our family members that had been waiting for hours at the hospital couldn't see him! But luckily they all were able to come back to see him while we were still in the hospital. When he was born his oxygen levels were too low so he also had to be given oxygen until the next day. He finally returned to normal and turned out that he didn't even have an infection! So we had a beautiful, healthy baby boy!!

Holy crap!!! Now I am really freaking out!!! I only have 2 more weeks to go!! Holy cow! I had my cervix checked on Wednesday and I am 1 cm dilated and 50% thinned! So we are moving along! But wow am I starting to freak out! This thing moving in my stomach is soon going to be an actual baby!! Can't he just stay in there for another 9 months!!! I don't know if I'm ready!! Help!!!

Full Term!!!!!!!

Today I am officially full term!! I can't believe it! It's a little crazy to think that pretty soon we'll have a little boy! I'm a little nervous. I still feel like there is so much that I don't know no matter how many books I read! And I probably won't know until he actually gets here. Even that I'm not so sure!! I'm definitely excited though! I'm excited for Bryan and I to start this new adventure together and believe me with how much this kid moves around I know he'll be an adventure!! I'm scared that he'll come too late and be way too close to Christmas for comfort. Honestly I don't want him to come any later than a few days after the due date. Hopefully I can convince my doctor to induce me if I don't go into labor on the day! LOL we'll see! But I'm excited for him to be here and lets be honest I'm excited to stop working!! So any time Logan!! Come out!!

Vow renewal

Well last night Bryan and I went to my parents vow renewal. I thought it turned out really nice. It was definitely a weird feeling considering I don't necessarily agree with them being together but I have to be happy for them if they seem happy. My sister, my mom and I went and got our nails done and got pedicures which was really nice!! Overall it was a good day!

Javalina!!!

Bryan found a baby javalina on Saturday while calling in coyotes!! Isn't it so cute!!! The pack ran away and this little guy ran in the opposite direction that the pack was running so Bryan and his friends picked it up! I guess he was biting at their shoes trying to attack!! But of course he was so small that it was just funny and cute!! He really calmed down after they picked him up, he became almost tame!!!! They put him back and the pack should have come back for him by now! So he had a fun adventure with some humans for a while!!

So I got an ultrasound today!! He is looking good! Everything is normal and he is growing just the way he should! He is now 3 lbs 12 oz and is in the 49th percentile! A lot better than the 87th percentile in the last ultrasound! That really scarred me that I was going to have a 13 lb baby!!! His head is already down which is good! I'm sure he'll move back and forth several times before it is actually time! I'm very excited to have him here soon and can't wait! I can't believe it is only 2 months away!!

I finally finished painting the babies room!! I am so excited!! It turned out just the way I wanted it to! And the colors all match the bedding pretty good! I was a little concerned about the base color being too dark but once I got all the colors up there it worked! I'm stoked to get the rest of the room organized and set up for the arrival of little Logan!!!!!

I am so stoked!!!! I scored at The Children's Place today!! They were having a really good sale so Angie and Keri picked me up this morning and off we went! I got 15 shirts, 10 pairs of shorts (including 2 swim shorts), 5 items for another girls baby shower gift, 2 sleepers and 2 hats!! I only spent $75! When I got home I added up what it would have been without the sale and it was a whopping $320!!! I saved over $240!!! I was even more excited when I saw the savings! I love sales!!!!

I am very excited! We are starting to get everything ready for the baby's room! My sister bought the bedding for us as a gift and we found this crib on Craigslist for $100! It's a convertible crib too! It was the cheapest one that we found and it's in white which was very hard to find!!! We got a dresser on clearance that matches and a chocolate colored rug that matches perfectly since we don't have carpet! I'm very excited to see everything starting to come together!

BOY!!!!! We found out this morning that we are having a very active boy! We had to sit and wait for about five minutes trying to make him move so we can see what he was! He was turning every way except the way that we needed him to! Finally we got a shot! He was kicking so hard and so fast! He would bring his leg up to his chest then kick it straight out!! He was so fun to watch! They took some measurements and he is already in the 87th percentile! He's already a big boy! They are going to take another ultrasound on Tuesday to see some of the other anatomy that they couldn't see today because he was moving so much! We are so excited to finally know!!!

We have definitely been blessed lately! Bryan found a job as a senior resolution tech for the Walgreens corporate office in Tempe!! He had been searching and searching for a job for over 7 months with no luck. This economy is just ridiculous!! But finally it happened! He starts on Monday and we are so excited!

Ok so it has definitely been a while since the last post! Not much has been happening. I didn't really get that sick my first trimester. I had about a week or so of feeling nauseous but then it passed. So far pretty easy pregnancy!! We heard the heartbeat for the first time on Friday! Everything sounds good! It's so weird and crazy that there is another heartbeat going on inside me besides my own!! I am still finding it hard to believe or comprehend that I am actually pregnant. It's very surreal! We find out the gender of the baby on July 7th. It's coming up very soon! Only 2 weeks and 2 days! Yes, I am counting down! I am very excited for that!! I can't wait to start painting and buying the bedding and all that good stuff!

Fondant Cake

My sister and I are practicing to make a cake with fondant for my parents next month. This was my attempt! I'm actually pretty proud of myself! It's definitely not perfect, it leans and the beading isn't quite right but you know I think it's a pretty good first try! I even colored the pink fondant myself! I used red food coloring with the white fondant (I'm not going to mention what my counter looks like!! I should have put something under it when mixing in the coloring!!) I'll post a picture of the big cake we are planning in June! I'm excited to see how that one turns out!! And very nervous!!!

Cram Session!!!

Okay, so it has been a very long time since I blogged last!!! But tons of fun stuff has been happening! Here is a cram session of a few! We've had the pleasure of babysitting Trey about once a week! We seriously love this little guy! He is the funnest to be around and the easiest little guy to watch!!!

He likes to play tug-o-war with Trapper! They literally play for about a half an hour just going back and forth with this old sock!!

He doesn't like it when she wins!! ..... and Trapper just stares at him like he's crazy!!!

My side of the family got together for mine and my nephews birthday in February!! And this lovely picture was the result of a Hulk cake and my niece and nephew painting their little sister with the icing!! This picture doesn't even show half of the icing that ended up on her! To say the least my little niece was stained green for the rest of the day!!

We got a quad!!!!! Long story short we got a wicked good deal on this quad because the engine was pulled a part and in pieces and if any one knows Bryan you know that he loves putting engines back together!!! So we are so stoked for this to be done!!!

Last night I went with my work in a stretch Hummer limo to a restaurant called Rustler's Roost! For those of you who don't know, I now work at a very busy Great Clips!! And a few weeks ago we broke a salon record and made $10,000 in one week for the shop! So when a salon does that the owner takes the whole salon to dinner in a limo!!! It was so much fun!! Those girls are crazy!!

This picture is totally random but I thought it was cool!! At Rustler's Roost they actually had this huge bull outside!! This thing was huge!! So I thought I would share!!!

Hopefully I stay up on the blogging a little bit better after this so I don't have to cram 3 months into 1 blog!!!

Snow Storm

Ok so it's been a while... Bryan and I have officially moved back down to Mesa. We are living at the ASU Polytechnic campus in the family housing. We made our last trip up to Flag on Friday to get the last load and to pick up our Pathfinder. Flag had a huge snow storm while we were down here Tues, Wed and Thurs so when we got up there on Friday this is what our car looked like!!! It had at least 2 feet of snow on top! We had to dig it out!! I drove it home and I still had a little snow on top when I got here! It was crazy. I'm kind of glad we're not going to be living in the snow!

Kyle officially became a missionary! We sent him off to the MTC on Wednesday morning. It was sad to see him go but we are so proud of him and we know that he will be an awesome missionary and have great experiences! He will be in the MTC for about 2 months then he is off to Salta, Argentina!! We are so excited for him!!

Frustrating apartment life....

I'm a little frustrated this morning! Even though I love it up here, it has definitely been an adjustment living in an apartment. I haven't lived in one in years and even then it wasn't as irritating as this apartment complex. Since we live near NAU we have A LOT of young college students. We've had problems with parties and them being irresponsible with their dogs (i.e. just letting them roam wherever, one even tried to attack Trapper). Well for the past week we have been having major problems with our one neighbor. First they got a new dog that whenever the owner leaves it starts barking. And I'm not talking a little bark here and there, I'm talking a bark or 2 every second until she comes home (which is sometimes hours)! The first time we heard the dog she left to go out at night and was gone until 2:00 in the morning and the dog was barking all night! Her neighbors upstairs were even more mad than us! So that has been going on for the past week! Then 2 nights ago Bryan and I were woken up at 3:00 in the morning to her and her boyfriend having a huge blowout fight. He was yelling so loud at her it sounded like he was in our apartment! He was throwing out the f word and bs all over the place! She was crying and trying to make him stop! Trapper was so nervous she even crawled on the bed and crawled on top of me and was shaking like crazy! So we called the cops! They came and it stopped and we thought that was the end of it! NOPE!! Last night it happened again! 2:30 rolls around and we got woken up again! It was a little quieter but we could still here them through the wall! And given the previous night, we called the cops again. So they came out and of course they were different cops so they didn't know about the night before. The bf was joking around with the cops and saying that they were just having a discussion about something that happened downtown. So the cops and this guy were just talking back and forth and were pretty much making it sound like we jumped the gun and nothing was really going on! The bf even had the nerve to say that they should tell the "neighbors to chill"!!!!! I'm so irritated with this comment! How dare he sit there and wake us up two nights in a row with his yelling whether this time was a conversation or not and say that we need to CHILL!!!! He kept us up for hours and he thinks we should chill!! I am seriously so infuriated by this comment! And all the cops could say was to use "inside voices" after joking around with the stupid guy!!! Am I over reacting or would this make any one else mad!! I just want to punch this guy!!

Bryan and I just got back from spending a weekend camping in Clints Wells. My dad was drawn to go hunting for cow elk there and invited us. My 2 uncles and my sister and her family came up as well. It was tons of fun. My dad brought his sand rail so Tiff and I went driving down the trails and of course we almost ran into a few trees but it was a blast! We sat around the campfire and just relaxed! My Dad is still up there and hasn't gotten anything yet but I'm sure he will soon!

I am so excited! I've been using this site myfitnesspal.com to try and "watch" what I've been eating. This site is a FREE calorie counter and exercise log. So I put in what I was eating (ex: taco bell, Wendy's, ice cream) and holy cow was I eating a lot!!!!! So I put in my weight, height, goal weight and when I wanted to accomplish it. It told me the calories I could eat and how much I should exercise. I've been doing this since about June and I have lost about 17 lbs so far!!! It feels great! Bryan and I go on a walk almost every night and we both feel so much better! It's amazing what a little exercise can do! My jeans don't fit anymore and I fit into a size small exercise shorts...... I have NEVER fit into a small, my butt and thighs have always been to big, I've always required at least a large. For anyone that is looking for an easy way to watch what they are eating I would highly recommend this website!!!!

Bryan and I met 3 years ago today! I still can't believe that a blind date over at my sister's house actually worked!! But I'm am very grateful to my sister for matching us up and picking out a wonderful man for me to spend the rest of my life with! He is so loving and caring..... I couldn't have asked for more!

My sister, brother-in-law, 2 nieces and nephew came up for two days to hang out! We went to the lava rocks, walked around downtown and had great bbq, watched the Cardinals football training, went to the lake and went on a nice walk! We had a blast and can't wait for them to come back up!!

......... of Trapper! I know she's just our dog but she cracks us up sometimes!! She loves going to the lake and playing fetch!
We have to keep her on her leash otherwise she would be in the water for hours and we would never leave!

This picture was just crazy! There were people grilling outside and she apparently wanted to get a "good" look! I really think she thinks she's a chihuahua!! She just ran and jumped on our desk! Good thing she's not 70 pounds or anything!!

Sorry for not blogging in so long! The most exciting thing that happened to me in the past two months was going to Disneyland with my sister and her family!!! We stayed for 4 days and had a blast! We went to Disneyland and California Adventures! The kids got a little tired walking around but I think they still had fun! My favorite rides were the California Screamin' roller coaster and the Tower of Terror (both in California Adventures)! They were crazy! The Tower of Terror brings you up a few stories then drops you about three times! I was holding on to my brother in law for dear life! But it was so much fun!! I highly recommend it!!!!!

Sunday Picnic!!

Bryan and I went on a picnic yesterday! We went to Ashurts Lake and let Trapper swim. She loved it! Then we ate lunch and decided to do a little 4 wheelin' down a trail into the forest. As we were coming up a hill, at the top was this huge cow elk!!! We started creeping up further and as we reached the top we were in the middle of a huge herd of elk. There had to have been at least 15 and only 2 small bull elk that we could see. They were amazing to watch! We rolled down the back window for Trapper to watch and she started shaking right off the bat! They just stood there and stared! It was awesome! And of course wouldn't you know it, I forgot the camera! We are going to try and find the elk again so we can get pictures! I'll post them as soon as we do!

I started working again yesterday. I work at a local salon which is right down the street from our apartment. And so far so good! It is definitely like riding a bike; as soon as I got in there and did a few haircuts I felt completely comfortable. And today I did my first color there! So I really think I'm going to like doing hair again!

1. If a paper towel rips while I'm trying to get one I have to get a new one. I have no idea why and oddly enough it's just been recently but it just doesn't feel right if I keep the ripped one.

2. Sometimes I can't stop touching my fingers with my other fingers until I have touched each finger evenly. This drives Bryan nuts! He usually has to grab my hands to get me to stop.

3. Ever since I was little I have always had to tell EVERY detail in a story. Some of you might have noticed!!! LOL! My family has always called me on it and I am constantly working on it! So please bare with me!!

4. I have to fall asleep before Bryan or I'm up for hours. (Again, I have no idea why)

5. I can watch America's Next Top Model over and over no matter what season. There is way too much drama and craziness but I get sucked in every time; Especially the marathons on VH1.

6. Similar to Keri, I can't pick things from the top or front. But mine is soda lids, straws and cups from fast food restaurants or gas stations. I have to go at least to the middle of the pile!

Grand Canyon!!!

We made it!! I had never been to the Grand Canyon and I've lived here my whole life so Bryan took me!! He's such a good husband! We went last week and the weather couldn't have been better!! I always saw it in pictures and thought "oh it's nice" but when I got there I couldn't believe how overwhelmingly huge and beautiful it was! I'm glad that we went now though instead of later when we have children 'cause I was nervous just trying to keep Bryan away from the edge!!

Bryan went out fishing this morning and came back with these!! He went to Lake Mary and caught several trout. He is so excited that he can just go 6 miles down the road to fish and actually catch something!! Don't worry, he is definitely the one cleaning them and cutting them up!!

We "moved" up to Flagstaff on Feb. 17th! We moved all of our stuff up here including our bed and couch! Then we went back down and lived on an air mattress and had our one little tv. Bryan had his surgery and holy cow I don't wish that on anyone!! I've never seen him in so much pain! He would go to get his medicine and come back to lay down and his jaw would be chattering from the pain! And also at the exact same time I had the flu really bad and it turned into bronchitis!!! So both of us were out for two weeks!! But now we are both better :) and we finally moved the rest of our miscellaneous junk up to Flag! And now we are here!!! We have everything unpacked and it is great!! The weather is perfect! We have a little snow left but it's not that cold! I don't even need a jacket! It feels great!! I'll post some pictures later!

So Bryan has been sick since the middle of November but no body could figure out what he has had! His uvula has been swollen and his throat has almost constantly been hurting. We went to the Urgent Care twice and they gave us 2 rounds of antibiotics and 2 rounds of steroids. Then we went to the Emergency Room and they gave him another antibiotic and a shot of an anti-inflammatory. He would get better after the medicine then a week later be sick again. This has been going on for almost 3 months. We finally got into the ENT doctor and he has tonsillitis. Now Bryan has to have his tonsils taken out and his uvula has been so swollen for so long that it is perma-stretched so it has to be cut shorter! Isn't that crazy!!! Poor guy!!!

Overwhelmed with emotion

I finally showed some emotion on my parents divorce today. I have been keeping it inside and not letting any one know how I was feeling, not even Bryan. But I finally talked to him about it and cried. I don't know how to handle my conflicting thoughts and feelings. I know its for the best and I keep telling myself that its great, and it is! But I've come to the realization (with some help from Bry) that they are still my parents and I love them both very much. I am just struggling with knowing that my family will never be together and better. I guess I am just so used to them being together that them being apart is shocking. Does that make sense?

Today Bryan and I spent the day in Peoria moving my mom. She left my dad today. This was a long time coming and I am so proud of her!! She has an awesome apartment in a great part of town, close to shopping and food! What else can a girl ask for!! It's all very surreal. I never thought it would actually happen. I am so okay with it, I've actually been wanting her to leave for years. My dad hasn't been the nicest person to live with, to put it mildly. But I have to admit that it still feels very weird, I'm sure even more to my mom. I wish my mom all the best and I hope that she really takes advantage of this new life!

I must say this has definitely been a strange week. I loved Christmas and I'll post all about that soon but I had some other eventful days. Last Saturday I got a call from my mom telling me that my uncle had died. I knew it was coming since he had been in the hospital for months and moved to hospice not long after he went into the hospital. We didn't think he would last a day without the iv's that he had in him but luckily he lasted another few weeks. He had been sick for years and no one could figure out why but it turns out that he had an organism in his body that only 8 out of 1,000,000 people get. And there was no cure. We had the funeral on Thursday.

And to top the cake.... I got a call from my dad last night and my mom was admitted to the hospital after feeling a tightness on the left side of her chest. Everything is okay but it totally freaked me out! My mom is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without her! Luckily, I don't have to think about that but I had a major scare! I went to the hospital today and stayed until she was released. They are putting her on medication to straighten her out. I just hate seeing my mom sick, it breaks my heart.

We found our apartment that we are going to live in up in Flagstaff!! We have been searching and searching and couldn't find anything that was in our price range and accepted pets! But finally we took a trip up there and as we were at the institute building we looked across the street and fell in love with these apartments! They are reasonable and they accept pets with no pet deposit or pet rent!! I think they are beautiful and they are so easy to find! They are right when you come into town. If you know where the Denny's is, the apartments are the next right turn! And they are across the street from the institute so we don't have to walk or drive far to go to church! How perfect is that?!?! We called on them and they have an open apartment on February 15th. So we have a set date! As of the 15th we will be in Flagstaff!!!!

Okay guys, I had to give up my LOVE for coffee about 2 years ago for a few reasons but mainly to follow the suggestions of the Word of Wisdom. I have had cravings almost every morning for a big cup of coffee with Irish Creme creamer! But I had to ignore them!!! NOT ANYMORE!!! No I'm not going against the church or being rebelious, I simply found Postum! I am in love! Bryan told me that there was a substitute for coffee and I was shocked! I had no idea that they even made such a thing! It is natural, has no toxins, is caffeine free, and tastes exactly like coffee!! I am so pumped! Thank you Postum!

It's been about a month and a half since I've been home. I am finding that it really is a big adjustment. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it feels very weird not having a set plan everyday and not really having anywhere to go. I do have a lot more time to go and hang out with my family which I have really neglected over the past year and spend time with Bryan which, sorry to say, has also probably been neglected. I look back at how much I was working and how exhausted I always was when I got home and I feel bad. I was always falling asleep early and I wanted nothing more than to just relax on Saturdays that I never wanted to go anywhere. My job wasn't that strenuous but my body gets tired pretty fast and the stress of my job just took it's toll. This being "retired" business is actually working out for me! I will have to definitely look for another job when we move but I think I am just going to go back into doing hair and for maybe only part time!! That way I won't be stressed and I can still spend more time with Bryan! I think this adjustment is a good one!

I hope every one had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I got to go over to my uncle's house which is where we have it every year. It was fun but why we try to cram our whole extended family into a tiny house I will never know!! I think my mom might take over next year since our family is slowly growing! We had all the good fixin's! The turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce...... mmmm!

I went shopping with my mom today! I finished my shopping for my nieces and mostly for my nephew! I wasn't going to go shopping at all because I hate crowds but I went to visit my mom and she talked me into it! There really were some great deals!

On another note, my friend Heather was visiting for the holiday! I got to hang out with her 2 of the days! And I get to take her to the airport in the morning at 4:30!! Let me tell you how excited I am!!! Her plane leaves at 6:30...... she's crazy! But I am very glad that I got to hang out with her as much as I did!

Well my friend Heather is officially gone :( She moved to Colorado. The sad thing is that I thought that she was leaving of the 7th of November and I was planning on going to hang out with her on the 6th but when I called her she had already left!!! She left the 4th!!! I was so bummed!! I was a little upset that she didn't call me to tell me she was leaving earlier but I got over it! Now I just feel bad that I didn't get to see her before she left. But luckily she will be coming to visit the 20th - the 24th so I'm stoked!

Bryan wanted me to show the progress of his Toyota!! He's got it lifted and running well. He next will be changing out the gears to make it a better rock crawler! And I must say that I was very proud of myself... I helped Bryan put in the carpet on the interior!! He is doing such a great job! I am very proud of him!!

Bryan and I got called to be in Primary at church a couple weeks ago! We teach the Sunbeams (3-4 years old) They are so cute!! We have 5 girls and only one boy! They are so full of life and really are just a joy to around! I am so thankful that we were blessed with such an awesome group!!!

Update..... Bryan is feeling better! Not 100% but still a lot better than what he was!! Thank you very much for your thoughts!!!!

My poor husband... He has been sick since Sunday afternoon :( We had to take him to urgent care on Monday to get him some meds. After the doctor took a half way look at his throat he decided Bryan had strep throat!!! His uvula (the dangly thing in the back of his throat) is 3 times the size it usually is and he has white spots all over. I feel so bad because there isn't much that I can do for him! He sleeps almost all day and the best that I can do is try to keep him comfortable. I hope this goes away soon! I hate seeing him sick.

Well, it has definitely been a while since I have blogged!! It has been one crazy month!! Bryan and I have decided to move and be completely focused on school! We've had some career setbacks....... long story! And my sister had her baby!!!! I'll post the pictures soon!! Her name is Montana Taylor and she weighed 6 lbs 14 oz. and was 21 inches long! She is absolutely beautiful!! Also, my best friend is moving next week to Colorado :( Even though I don't see her very often I still like knowing that she is there when I need her. Okay, so I decided to stay at my old job! I know I was supposed to go but I got to "thinking" and actually took my emotions out of it!! Yes I would have loved to stay with my old manager but I realized it was purely emotional attachment. She was great to work for but I would have never moved up in my career while working for her. She was going to keep me where it worked best for her! Since I've decided to stay I have already gotten a better office and I am working as a team with my escrow officer (that also decided to stay)! I feel great about this decision! I just hope the company is done with there lay offs!! Otherwise I am not going to be a happy camper! I just have to keep bringing in money and I will be fine!!! In which, since I've decided to stay, I have been so swamped at work!! I've been coming in early and leaving late!! I love being busy!

On another note, I feel so bad...... Bryan is sick!!! He has a bad cold and has been stuck in bed! I think it is just God's way of slowing him down!!! He has been running himself ragged for a while now! He has been trying to help friends with vehicles and quads all while trying to fix his truck so it can run and fix our car that has no air conditioning!!!! Every weekend we have something to do so he doesn't even rest then! Plus he's going to school!! That boy is crazy!!! I love him!!!

Well, I did it!! I gave my two weeks notice! I'm glad I decided to leave but I find myself feeling bad that I'm leaving such a great company that has treated me so well. I have worked for this company for 2 years now and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be apart of it! But I have to protect myself. The company is making a lot of changes such as mergers and layoffs! I can't be one of the people they lay off and with me not being a full escrow officer yet, I would be!! Emotional Roller Coaster!!

Well to say the least this past week has been an emotional roller coaster! Everyday was a new load of stress. And unfortunately for Bryan stress makes me a huge grump!! I generally don't want to talk to anyone and I eat a lot (which in turn makes me more depressed!) But today was the ultimate! My manager resigned :( and we met our new manager, as if one bad thing happening today wasn't enough! Let's just say the staff is very different than what we are used to! I'll have to figured out what is best for me, whether it is staying here or going with my old manager! We'll just have to see!!!

Well, today my office had a bombshell dropped on us! Our boss from downtown came in and fired our front desk, who is way more than just the front desk!! She can be an escrow officer with the knowledge that she has of this industry!! And we love having her work with us! And thier excuse was "the company can't afford her"! Please someone tell me how a Fortune 500 company, who was ranked one of the best financial institutes, can't afford our 1 front desk person!! I guess that's corporate America for you!! Our boss also asked our branch manager to step down and they want to merge 3 offices into our 1 and have one of the other managers be the manager here! Nobody in this office has ever heard any good things about this other manager and I have already had a run in with her and she is in a completely different office than I am!! To say the least I am not looking forward to her coming in here! I have a feeling that my branch manager will leave the company. She is the best manager that I have ever worked for! She is fair, generous and is always willing to help with any questions or issues that come about in files!! All of us here are stunned and don't know what to say! In this market how can we be sure that our jobs are stable! Our downtown assured the rest of us that our jobs are secure but how can we trust what they say and how can they be so sure (especially with a new manager coming in who can decide what staff she wants to keep or get rid of!!) I'm having a really hard time knowing how to deal with this "explotion"!

Meet our baby!! This is Trapper! I've had her for about 7 years now! She is a 9 year old golden retriever and is CRAZY!!! Trapper has become our "child" if you will! She wakes us up in the middle of the night and is constantly needing attention! She keeps us extremely busy! Trapper loves the lake, the river, and any ponds...... but for some reason she hates baths!! I still don't understand how "water" dogs can hate baths!!

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband! I am very proud of all of his accomplishments and all of his ideas and goals! This is one of his goals that he had! To build a rock crawler! He bought this '85 Toyota pick-up for cheap and is rebuilding it from the ground up!! He already has the beautiful, huge tires that are a must for rock crawlers!!

And he has already rebuilt the engine!! It's a beauty, isn't it!!

He is going to start working on the body work next! I am amazed every day at his talent!

Weekend Getaway!

Bryan and I got away this weekend! We are very blessed to have such a wonderful family that let us crash at their cabin! We stayed at Sandra and David's cabin up in Forest Lakes! It was absolutely beautiful!! (I'm an idiot and brought the camera but forgot to take any pictures!) It was around 65 degrees all weekend and rained a little! The air smelled wonderful!! I finished my book (that I've been working on for 3 years now..... can you tell I don't read very often!!!) and we rented 4 movies! We rented Lady in the Water (a little wierd but interesting), Shooter (very good! Mark Wahlberg is a sniper!!), X-Men the Last Stand (Very good), and Employee of the Month (Surprisingly very funny!!) Needless to say we had a very relaxing weekend which was way over due!!

On Sunday Bryan and I went over to my parents house for dinner. I love seeing my family and I absolutely love seeing my niece and nephew! My sister and brother-in-law brought over the Wii. That thing is amazing! It is so interactive and it actually gets you up and moving. It is so addictive! My niece of course beat all of us at bowling! (yes bowling with the Wii!) We also played tennis, boxing, and golf! It was so much fun, Bryan and I are thinking of getting one!!

I was so excited. I finally took time off of work! Grant it, I really wasn't feeling all that great but I was mainly just exhausted! I left early on Monday and called in sick on Tuesday. I had fun sleeping in until 10:30, watching "The Pursuit of Happyness", and hanging out with the boys! Bryan, Cameron, Kyle and I went to Peter Piper Pizza for lunch and went shopping. Cameron and Bryan made homemade buffalo chicken wings! They were so delicious! Put those two in a kitchen and it's amazing what they come up with!! I pretty much had a "chill" two days! I was very excited!!

Last night my office got to go to the American Idol concert!! My manager, Carolyn, rented a limo for all of us to ride to the concert in! We luckily all fit!! It was wonderful! The boys of the American Idol finalists formed a band. They are the little ant size figures on the stage!! This was actually an awesome highlight of the night!! I was very impressed!!!

Men's Luxury Expo

On Saturday Bryan and I went to the Men's Luxury Expo!! My mom gave Bryan tickets to it for his birthday! It was great! Bryan was like a kid in a candy store! They had corvette's, the ford GT (which was the one I was excited about....... I LOVE that car!), camaro's, and more! We wish they would have had more demonstrations on actual car stuff. They had a lot of booths where they were just trying to sell random things (cruises, life insurance, jewelry, ect.) But it was a lot of fun! And we also stopped by Cabella's! If anybody gets a chance to go out there, we highly recommend it. It's an outdoorsman's play ground!!!

Okay so I went to Heidi's bootcamp last night!! Holy cow it was awesome!! I am sore and I have never sweat that much at the gym!! I love having someone there that is pushing you to do your best! At the gym, I kind of get the mind set of "okay I'm sweating a little, that was a good workout" I realize now after going to the gym for a few months now, I'm not in any better shape than when I started! I think the boot camp is a great idea and I think it will be really effective!! I'm excited for my new adventure!!!

To Catch a Preditor.........

Bryan and I are obsessed with this show!! It is on MSNBC. If you have just regular cable, Channel 65 I think at 5:30 and 10:30 (or somewhere around there). The show is awesome! If you have never seen it before it's where the police and MSNBC have adults pretending to be minors (generally 13 or 14) in chat rooms! And of course they attract some gross men who try to meet these young girls! So they lure these sickos to a house and as the men come into the house, the host comes out and finds out what they are doing there and what they were thinking. Of course, as the guys leave the police arrest them!!! I wouldn't let children watch this show, just for some of the graffic nature of the emails that these guys write (but of course it is pretty censored for TV thankfully). But it is very addicting and it makes us feel good to see these crazy guys being arrested!

Good Times!!!!

Sorry it's been so long since I blogged! I've had a little bit of writer's block!! But it's gone!

Bryan took me out on a date on Friday night!! He took me out to Red Lobster for dinner and we saw Evan Almighty at the movies!! It's very cute!! If anyone watches "The Office", another character from the show is in the movie! Which makes it even more entertaining!! I love date nights!!

On Saturday Bryan, his younger brother Kyle, Kyle's friend Clint, and I went floating down the river!! That was tons of fun!! I haven't been down the river since I was in elementary school and even then it was just once!! They are some crazy boys!! I had such a great time!!

An Eventful Weekend

On Friday, Bryan and I were supposed to go camping with ours friends, but when those plans fell through :( we went on a mini road trip! :) We went to Globe! I know what your thinking! "Globe, what in the world is in Globe?" Great Mexican food!! I forgot the name of the place but it was delicious! They had flour tortilla chips! Needless to say we all couldn't move afterwards!! Saturday I went to a girls day out lunch! We went to Ruby Tuesday's. It was great fun! And Sunday....... We went to church and after that we went to my parents house! It was great to see my family. Bryan and I played with my niece and my nephew most of the time. I love those kids!! We watched Finding Nemo and VeggieTales and played in their little kiddy pool! After we left there Bryan, Trapper and I went over to Bryan's parents house, (yeah now that it's not it San Diego!!!) and chatted with them for a while. Overall a pretty good weekend!! It just went by way too fast!!!

Miracles Can Happen!!!

Okay so I just have to say that I am absolutely amazed when it comes to seeing or hearing about miracles that happen only through HF!! My mom called me this morning and told me of a story that she heard about. This guy had Crohn's Disease (those of you that don't know, Crohn's is an incureable disease that affects the intestines and causes a lot of stomach pain and a lot more. And I have it.) This guy was married with kids but was really having a hard time with this disease. It was even affecting his work and his ability to lead a normal life. He started praying about it and had his family and friends pray for him and just really asked HF to help him get through it. His next doctor's appointment, they ran a bunch of tests (typical at every appointment) and examined him. The doctor called him a few days later with the test results...... They could not find one trace of the disease!! They searched and searched and found nothing! He was cured! And with this disease that just doesn't happen. But it did! I am just amazed what the Lord can do!! This story really hit home for me and I wanted to share it! And it really just reminded me that miracles can happen and they do happen! Anything is possible!!!

Okay, Bryan's birthday is exactly 1 month from today!! Any suggestions on presents?!?! I was thinking things for his garage or camping gear. I think I want to take him out of town somewhere too. He loves the outdoors and just being away! Why can't I just read his mind sometimes!!! :) (Although that might be a little too scary!!)

Date Night!!

I was so excited!! Bryan and I haven't been on a date in probably a month or two :( But last night he took me out!! We went to Souper Salad (I'd never been there before and now love) and then he took me to MFY!!!! The best frozen yogurt ever!! It was really a great date! We both are usually way to tired to go anywhere after work so this was a fun treat!

Well here goes......

For those of you that don't know, Bryan and I have been married for just over a year. It has been wonderful. We had the obvious bumps in the road that I blame on it just being our first year and us trying to readjust from our selfish phases! Now we've got most of the kinks ironed out and are loving life!

Bryan and I are waiting to have children for a couple years. We want to be able to just be us and enjoy being able to pick up and go at a moments notice. We love it! But here's the problem..... I am getting baby fever!!! I have been trying to deny it and just brush it off, but it keeps coming back!! I really feel (and know) that we are not ready. I am just around a lot of women that are either pregnant or trying to be. And it's not that I want to be like them or I want to be pregnant just because they are, it just makes me think of how great it would to be a mommy and have Bryan be a daddy! He would be a WONDERFUL one!! And I am so excited for each and every one of them for starting their families, I think it is awesome! So pretty much I just wanted to vent a little and I thought that maybe typing it out would help me! Plus I have to realize that once Heavenly Father says it's time, I will really know! And now is not that time!

Greetings from the Rhoton family. We're new to the Blog scene but we hope to adapt quickly.

We were married on April 12th 2006 at the Wright house in Mesa then Sealed in the MesaTemple exactly one year later; and no, it's not what your thinking, Jackie was Baptized a member of the Church on January 28th 2006, hence the reason for the one year delay...

We live in our beautiful home in Mesa with our golden retriever named "Trapper". This where we both have our many projects, me with my 1985 Toyota 4x4 EFI Rebuild and Jackie with her creative interior paint ideas...

Jackie works for Landamerica Lawyers Title as an assistant Escrow Officer where she has been for a year and a half.

I am selling Property & Casualty insurance for USAA up in north Phoenix where I have for almost three years.

This hopes to be a start of a beautiful blogging relationship...
